Our special chess sets combine classic engine components with fine contemporary workmanship. They are made using recycled parts from Aston Martin, Range Rover and Lotus vehicles. Each set is handmade taking many days to complete. Each comes with a custom made board and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the maker.

  • King/Queen: Aston Martin valves and Aston Martin valve springs

  • Knights: Aston Martin wrist pin and Range Rover rocker arm

  • Bishop: Aston Martin valve spring and Land Rover wheel nut/stud

  • Rooks: Land Rover brake piston and Land Rover wheel nut.

  • Pawns: Aston Martin valve springs and spark plugs

• 32 unique pieces made of steel and alloy

• Each piece is individually cleaned, shot blasted, cold welded and hand painted

• Color - limestone and black

• Range of Chess Piece Heights: Queen - 4.75”/12cm to Pawn - 4.25”/11cm (approximately)

• Each piece comes enclosed in a cloth pouch

The shipping cost for our Bespoke Chess Sets will be applied as an additional charge over and above the purchase price of the individual set.

The cost will vary based on the weight and dimensions of the set, the location of the recipient and the packaging required. Once a set is purchased we will contact the buyer with the cost for shipping. That will be billed as a separate charge.

The chess pieces and board will be shipped together, but in separate boxes.
